Hey! I’m Josh.
Hey, I’m Josh, the guy behind Good Feeling Films.
After serving four years in the Marine Corps, I moved to Sydney, Australia, where I spent three years studying. While I was there, I ended up on a film set, and something happened inside me. The creativity, the cameras, and the production set, it all pulled me in. I remember thinking, I want to do this with my life.
Not long after that, I bought a camera, picked up some lighting and audio gear, and started filming whatever I could. I spent countless hours researching, learning and growing as a young filmmaker. The response to those early projects gave me the confidence to keep going, and over time it turned into a career. Eventually I started filming weddings and then it was game over.
Whether I’m filming a wedding, a corporate piece, or a documentary, my goal is the same. Capture what’s real. I’m drawn to honest moments and shared experiences. There’s something powerful about documenting people as they actually are, and that’s what keeps me inspired.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me surfing, yes even on Lake Michigan, rock climbing, training for some distance sport, or checking out a new coffee shop. I care a lot about emotional health and growth, and I spend a lot of time thinking about how we connect with ourselves and the people around us.
I’m lucky to share life with my amazing wife, our young daughter, and our slightly crazy golden doodle.(pictured below).

Singing. Full Stop! I get super embarrassed singing in front of people.

Favorite way to spend a Sunday?
A morning surf session, church with amazing folks, brunch at a local café, and relaxing with a good tv show or movie.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Anywhere with an ocean and nice weather.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t yet?
Scuba diving. It’s on the bucket list of things I MUST DO!
